Last night Order took the elf and dwarf fortresses and invaded the Inevitable City again. This one seemed a little easier and a bit more organized - at least as far as the zone control goes. And it was aided by a bug that had not restored the fortress gates after the last time we took them - though I don't honestly think there were enough Dest in the field to stop Order with gates or without.

Grats to all from our alliance who participated and grats to those that got some nice armor from the PQ inside!

Yup, another nice suprize for when I was able to log in late last night.
We managed to lock the city as well (around 2am Pacific), so got to run some of the Stage 2 PQs. They are much harder. Too bad my rolls sucked so bad last night and I kept having video card crashes (time to upgrade my system).
Over all though, a really good time. The theory is that since we made Stage 2, the City will be open for a couple days. Looking forward to logging in tonight to see it that is true.

Nice! I would have liked to see the stage 2 stuff. How exactly do you lock the city?

locking the city is exactly like locking a zone, you have your blue victory point bar in the top right which you have to move to 100%. This is done by:
a) killing players
b) doing pq's
c) winning the 1 scenario


The War effort has already been reset, the city is closed and we are back at the middle zones. Which i find stupid since we did lock the city and we always heard it would be open at least 24 hours.

As for the 2nd tier PQ's inside the city, they are much better and much harder then the first one. Both show that you need the majority of your group to be wearing full sets of superior ward gear. Plus you need to be very organized.

The west side pq has you entering a portal to hold the outer positions while you kill the boss up top.
The east side ( in arena pit) has you wiping waves of increasingly hard mobs to kill. All of which has the nice effect of no rezzing during the encounter.

It would be nice if Order planned a push for IC to occur on a weekend or something like that. I woke up that morning, popped in with a cup of coffee, looked at the guild roster, and there's Haader and Elsurion showing in IC. I was able to get in there briefly, but had to go to work.

The whole push for the King takes a looong time to be successful. Our server needs better planning on when we're doing it. We should just post it on the Warhammer Alliance forums in advance, so Destro shows up for a fight.

I don't think these are really planned that way. To me it seems like we push and push and then when it looks attainable people get more organized. I doubt very seriously they had it planned for Tues night.

Yeah, maybe we can create a specific vent channel for Fortress/City takes so people can check the website/vent to tell if there is a big event happening. I've been trying to get on more lately but right now you just have to get lucky and sign on at the right time to participate. You might also get people jumping out of other games to get in on the action that way too.
